California Rainin

The water level in Lake Cachuma might be a little higher tomorrow. We didn't think it was raining this morning when we finally woke up around 8:30. But when I looked out, I saw that the world out there was indeed, wet. But the rain was realy just a mist - at least at that point.

It wasn't too bad getting the dogs out, we just didn't stay out very long. We came back in and prepared for a quiet day inside. That's just what it's been. A quiet day inside.

Let's see, the first movie we watched was The Jewel of the Nile. After that, Throw Mama From the Train came on. Now, we're watching one of my all-time-favorites, Fried Green Tomatoes.

I had a pot of beans soaking last night to cook in the crock pot this morning. I baked a pan of corn bread and we had that for our main meal this afternoon.

Early this afternoon, the rain started coming down in earnest.

I took the dogs out again, they didn't stay out very long.

We played a couple of games of cribbage.

It's still raining. According the weather forecasters, it's going to rain most of the night.

Here are a couple of pictures from yesterday, since there aren't any of the rain today.

This is a field of different colors of flowers that we saw on the way to the coast yesterday.
