Northeast of Green Bay is a peninsula, which is Door County. There are many small communities here, places like Sturgeon Bay, Egg Harbor, Sister Bay, Fish Creek, Bailey's Harbor and Brussels. In between these little communities are dairy farms, many of them sporting "Land O'Lakes" signs in the front yard. In between the immaculatly manicured farms and yards there are woods. Woods so thick, I think I've stepped into Little Red Riding Hood or Hansel and Gretel's woods. And, surrounding it all, is Lake Michigan and Green Bay. Big water.
We've been putting a lot of miles on the little white Saturn, exploring as much as we could in the short time we allowed for this stop.
Below are some samples of the woods:

There are a total of 10 here, and we saw 7 of them:

Tomorrow we're on the road again, heading for Iron Mountain, Michigan. More adventures!

We're lighthouse nuts too, Ellie. These are great photos of them. Wisconsin looks very beautiful.
We are having a ball traveling with you. One thing nice about us going along with you is we don't eat much and sure don't take up much room. Ok we're ready for the next adventure.

Loved your lighthouse pictures. It looks so warm and sunny I wish we were there. Well, maybe not. But everything looks green and beautiful. Glad you are enjoying our home state.
