Stormy Night - Again

I had a hard time getting to sleep last night. Sometime after midnight I finally went to sleep. The storms started up around 1 to 1:30 and lasted until after 3:30. (Yes, that is a.m.) We were both awake through all of the lightning, thunder, rain, hail, and of course, wind. It seemed like the storm kept circling around and coming back for another go at us.

We finally did get to sleep, maybe around 4 a.m. It was nearly 9:00 when we got up this morning. After the night we had, neither one of us felt like going anywhere today, so we've passed the time working on travel plans. I made a King Ranch Chicken Casserole for our afternoon meal today.

We also talked to Pat McFall. She knows of 2 other couples who are either here already, or due in at any moment. We're putting together a little pot-luck for tomorrow evening, which should be fun. It looks like there might be as many as 6 couples attending.

I didn't take any pictures today, so I'll post some from the past week here in the Black Hills area.

And now, I think I'll go take a nap. It's starting to get real cloudy and I want to be ready for the rain.

Ellie Partly cloudy is a good time to take a nap - of course any time is good for an afternoon nap. The pictures you had of the birds the other day were osprey. Larry and Leann took pictures of the same birds out on Stockade Lake.

Like your music...Free and Easy....cool. We paid all our debts off today. There was a giant implosion at our bank when I wrote the last check...I hope no one was injured? What will I do with all this money I have if I don't have bills to pay??? Let me see maybe I can just save it for next year. I could have one meal out a month or maybe just pay the higher cost of diesel. At any rate I sure feel good not owing for anything. This is the first time in our married life that we have been in this position. YEEEHAAAAA
