Laid Back Day

A few days ago I heard from my niece, Tammy, who lives in the Phoenix area. She and her friend, Alan, decided to make the trip down to Tucson to visit us today. They arrived around 10 this morning and we visited for a couple of hours before going to lunch at Coyote Pause.

Here are Tammy and Alan next to their jeep.

The garden at Coyote Pause is starting to bloom.

We had a great time getting to know Alan and listening to the descriptions of their jeep adventures. They've recently started doing some pretty wild 4 wheeling and are having a great time. We got caught up on all the news that she had to share about her family as well. All too soon it was time for them to head back home.

We kicked back and watched some old movies, worked puzzles and generally relaxed this afternoon.

I know, you've seen the Gila Woodpecker before, but this was such a great pose, I just couldn't resist.

Tomorrow we are taking the motor home back to LaMesa for a couple of minor issues. I guess, if there's a downside to living in a vehicle, it is having to take it in for service. We get kicked out of our home while it gets worked on. At least we don't need to do this very often!
